The disclosure first, because every pricing roundup in this category is published by one of the tools and ours is no exception: this page is written by videos.me, and videos.me is in the tables. Every rival figure below was read off that company’s own pricing page on 12 October 2026, and the note under each table says which page. Our own figures are not typed at all, they are read from the same pricing service that charges the card, so this page cannot quote you a price we do not charge.
Here is why nobody can answer “which one is cheaper” in a sentence. The tools do not charge by the same thing. We charge by the videos you actually receive. Tribute and VidDay charge by the finished film’s running time. Kudoboard charges per board, by how many posts it holds. Three different units means the cheapest tool changes with the shape of your collection, so the only honest comparison is a worked one.
The short answer, then the places it stops being true. For one collection where each person sends a clip, paying for what arrives costs the least here, and the quieter the collection the wider the gap, because a collection nobody answers costs nothing. Where we are not the cheapest: free tools exist and are named below, and an organisation running recognition constantly across many teams can beat us with a flat unlimited plan.
Each person sends one clip averaging 35 seconds, which is the short end of the 30 to 60 seconds our own contributor guide recommends. Every total is the cheapest published route that tool offers for that collection, not its headline price.

Sources: tribute.co/pricing, read 12 October 2026 · vidday.com/pricing, read 12 October 2026 · kudoboard.com/pricing, read 12 October 2026. Our column is computed from the live rate and bundle prices at build time. Kudoboard’s row is the cost of collecting from that many people, not a like-for-like output: a board is browsed, a film is watched.
This is the part a headline price hides, and it cuts against our own table above. Nothing changes here except how long each person speaks. Six people at half a minute each make a film of exactly three minutes, which is the top of VidDay’s $5 tier; the same six people talking five seconds longer each land in the $15 one. We picked 35 seconds for the table above, so that table shows them at $15 and this one shows you why.

Nothing changed about any of these groups except their talkativeness. Our column does not move, because the unit is the videos received. If you cannot predict how long your people will talk, a price that does not move with them is worth more than a lower starting price, and if you can predict it, the tiers above tell you exactly where the lines fall.
Ten replies each, 35-second clips, and for each tool the cheapest route it publishes, whether that is paying per collection or an annual plan.
| Collections a year | videos.me | Tribute | VidDay | Kudoboard |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 12 a year | $42.00 12 × pay as you go, 10 × $0.35 | $420.00 12 × $35, no annual plan published | $149.99 Personal membership $59.99 for 6, plus 6 × $15 | $83.88 12 × Lite Board |
| 24 a year | $84.00 24 × pay as you go, 10 × $0.35 | $840.00 24 × $35, no annual plan published | $237.99 Business membership, $237.99 a year for 30 videos | $167.76 24 × Lite Board |
An annual plan has to be kept busy to pay for itself, and a month with no occasion in it still costs what the plan costs. Paying per video received costs nothing in a quiet month, which is the whole argument for the unit and the whole reason we chose it. Two honest notes on this table: a membership plus per-video overage is counted where it beats both paying per collection and the larger plan, because their pricing page says that route exists; and Kudoboard’s column buys boards rather than films, so its low total is not the same purchase as the rest of the row.
Gathering is free here, and it is the part most tools charge for up front. Create a collection, share the link and collect for up to 60 days without a card, and watch the first two clips that arrive. Payment unlocks compiling the film, watching all of it, sharing it and downloading it, which means you decide after you can see what people actually sent.
That is a different offer from the free group card tools, which are free because the thing they make is lighter: a card, a page of clips, a message you collect and watch one at a time. If what you want at the end is one film of everyone, every tool on this page charges for it, and ours is the one that waits until it exists before asking.
Competitor features and prices are theirs to change; their sites are authoritative for current details, and this page is re-read monthly. Trademarks are used nominatively, to say what each product is. Deeper per-rival comparisons: Tribute, VidDay, Kudoboard, and our own full terms on pricing.
It depends on how many people reply and how long they talk, because the tools do not charge by the same thing. videos.me charges by the videos you actually receive, Tribute and VidDay charge by the finished film’s length, and Kudoboard charges per board by how many posts it holds. For a single collection where each person sends one clip, paying by what arrives is the lowest total here, and the gap widens the fewer replies you get. It stays the lowest for someone running a collection or two a month: at 24 a year with ten replies each, paying per video received costs less than any annual plan published by the tools on this page, and nothing at all in a month with no occasion in it.
Collecting them is free here: create a collection, share the link, and gather videos for up to 60 days without a card, watching the first two that arrive. Payment unlocks compiling the film, watching all of it, sharing and downloading, so you decide once you can see what people sent. Free group card tools exist too, and they are free because what they make is lighter, a card or a page of separate clips rather than one film of everyone.
Because that is the unit they chose. Tribute and VidDay price by the finished video’s running time, so the same group of contributors costs more if everyone talks for a minute instead of half a minute. videos.me prices by the number of videos received, so clip length does not change the bill at all. If you cannot predict how talkative your group is, that difference is worth more than the headline price.
Compare per-collection pricing against the annual plans rather than against each other. At roughly a couple of collections a month with ten or so replies each, paying per video received costs less than any annual plan published by the tools here, and it costs nothing in a month you run none. An annual plan buys predictability rather than a lower total at that volume, and it has to be kept busy to pay for itself.
Pay as you go, if each person sends one clip. The bundles exist for collections where people send several clips each, or for anyone who wants the bill fixed in advance, and the table above shows pay as you go coming out lower at every ordinary size. We would rather say that here than have you work it out afterwards.
Every figure was read from each company’s own pricing page on 12 October 2026, and the page names which page and date each number came from. Prices are theirs to change without telling us, so treat their site as authoritative and tell us if you find a figure here that has moved.
