FAQ

Straight answers, including what videos.me doesn’t do. Every one is checkable against the product.

What is videos.me?

videos.me collects video messages from a group through one link and turns them into one film. You create a collection and share the link; everyone records in their browser; we stitch the clips in the order you choose. It is used for birthdays, memorials, farewells, weddings, team events, and customer testimonials.

How does videos.me work?

Three steps. Create a collection and get a link. Share the link: anyone who opens it records a short video in their browser, on any phone or laptop. When you are ready, tick the clips you want, drag them into order, and compile: one film, ready in minutes, to watch, share with a private link, or download.

What does videos.me cost?

Two ways to pay. Pay as you go charges $0.35 per video received, with nothing if no one replies and nothing ever locked on that path. Flat-rate bundles unlock up to 10 ($7.99), 25 ($19.99), or 50 ($34.99) videos you pick. Creating a collection is free: gather with no cap over 14 days, no card.

Is videos.me free?

Free to start: creating a collection, sharing the link, and gathering are free with no card and uncapped over 14 days, and you can watch the first two that arrive (watch-only until you unlock). Compiling the film, watching everything, sharing, and downloading unlock when you enroll in pay as you go or buy a bundle. Unlocked videos are yours for life.

Do people need an app or an account to record?

No. Contributors open your link and record in the browser on any phone or laptop, with an upload option for videos they already have. You are the only one who needs an account.

How many people can contribute?

On pay as you go, as many as you like: the same link scales from a handful to hundreds. Bundles unlock up to 10, 25, or 50 videos you pick, and a free collection gathers without limit.

How long does a collection stay open?

Free collections gather clips for up to 14 days. Bundles and pay as you go keep collecting for their full streaming window of a year, extendable.

Can I keep the finished film?

Yes. Download it in full quality and it is yours, on your own storage, for as long as you keep it. You can also share it with a private link.

Is it private?

Collections are private to you: contributors cannot see each other’s clips, and links use long unguessable tokens. Share the finished film only with the people you choose.

Does it work with phone videos?

Phone-first, deliberately: portrait clips recorded on phones render full-frame in the finished film rather than boxed, and the recorder falls back through video formats so older browsers still work.

What happens to everything a free collection gathers?

It keeps gathering, no cap, until the window closes. The moment that matters is wanting to use the videos, and you upgrade in place: same link, every video kept. Enroll pay as you go to see and keep everything as it arrives, or buy a bundle and pick which videos to unlock. Videos collected while free stay free, pay as you go only bills the ones that arrive after you upgrade.

What does videos.me NOT do?

Stated plainly so you can choose well: there is no video editor, no timeline, no themes or music, no photo slots, and no printed keepsake. Clips are stitched clean in your order. If you want a produced, themed montage, a tool like Tribute or VidDay fits better, and our comparison pages say so.

Someday you’ll be glad you did this today.

Two minutes to set up, free to create, and nothing to pay until you unlock your videos.
