What to Say in a Wedding Video Message (When You’re Not the Best Man)

Wedding video messages stall for a specific reason: everyone has heard toasts, so everyone thinks they owe one. You don’t. The couple is not grading rhetoric; they are collecting faces and warmth from their people on the biggest day they’ll ever host. A cousin being genuinely glad beats a stranger being clever, every time, in every film.

Three shapes that always work

Pick the one that fits how you know them:

• The observer: “I’ve watched you two together since the beginning, and what I always notice is…”
• The welcomer: “We haven’t known you long, but the way you look at them told us everything.”

If you know one of them well
